1. Experience - I
play online every day, so I'm used to it. I learn easily
opponents characteristics, and I'm probably more experienced
than most players I'm up against.
2. By only play when I'm on top - The ability to choose board on
the Internet, and I do not have to wait for a table. If I sit
down somewhere and then discover that all the players are
talented, I can instantly switch board. It is much harder to do
it in a casino. It will also be counted as poor etiquette if you
win big, and then quickly leaves the table, but on the Internet,
I can easily leave the table, put my money in the bank and begin
by a new board. Another big advantage is that I can play, just
when I want. If I'm home and I play two hands and then think,
"Fuck it!" I can just stop. The same applies if I am hungry,
tired, drunk, stupid, angry or sad. The same can be said about
playing at a casino, because I've already spent so much time,
energy and money to get there.
3. Size of bankroll - When I play online, I sit with never more
than $ 600 at the table at any time, but at a casino, it is
quite normal for me to have $ 800 or $ 1.000 in play at once.
There is much more pressure on you when a larger percentage of
your bankroll is in play. The last time I was at the casino, I
folded hands, I would have called it if I'm online because I
would have been bankrupt if I lost. Playing online also means
that I have access to all of my money. At the casinos, I would
only have myself to spend the money I have, and having a
sufficient bankroll is almost as important as it is to be a good
player.
4. Characteristics - There are certain characteristics that I've
learned from online games, but I do not need to read any social
situations when I play online. So, although my knowledge of
poker theory, playing a hand, and reading online features
quickly become large, is my ability to read people really did
not rise, in fact it is actually diminished.
Experience in online poker comes with advantages and
disadvantages when it is transferred to the live game. For
example I have many more facial and behavior characteristics of
a 'live' game because I do not need to have a poker face to play
online. On the other hand, I have fewer features based on the
verbal mannerisms, because I'm used to playing in solitude and
silence.
5. Patience and Scheduling - As I said before, online gaming
much faster than the live game. I am also able to play two
tables simultaneously, when I play online and it results in
continuous games. When someone is accustomed to uninterrupted
games and then playing at a casino where there are tons of
wasted time, they may end up playing loose and force things that
are not present. It can lead to suicide poker and lost game.
